The EV3 model

Definitely not your average piezo-based "trying-to-be-an-acoutstic-violin-but-louder" electric violin. Our groundbreaking and truly electric flagship model, the "EV3" (Electric Violin, 3rd design), is available in multiple finishes and in 4 or 5 strings. Unique thumb-controlled Master Volume placement next to neck makes for quick and musical gain changes, patented dual magnetic pickup system with ergonomically placed 4-way pickup selector features one pickup voiced to be more open and clear and a second to be a bit louder and more rounded sounding with two more selections that combine wiring the two in musical ways, going from clear bell-like tones to pushing an amp into overdrive for a solo, all right on the instrument. Familiar dimensions and touch-points make the player feel at home right away. Optional guitar-style strap buttons and strap locks are available too. Price for this hand-crafted violin is $2395

The Model EVT

 We get it, for as cool as it is, we realized that the flagship EV3 might just be too "Jetsons" for some gigs.  To offer the same great tones for this scenario, we developed the EVT (Electric Violin Traditional) model.  We also found that players (us) in these situations might not need all the quick switching that a Rock or Blues player might, so we moved the pickup selector over to the left upper bout with the idea that you might be more apt to just "set it and leave it" on your favorite tone and leave the rest to your playing technique in general, or maybe just flick it once in a while for a little extra "umph" during a solo feature. Controls are a bit more simplified on this model in the same philosophy, with the master volume being moved to the top close to the tone knob. Contact us about color, wood and strings options.
